 Nightstalker (2002)
IMDB rating: 3.40
Plot: The night sets over Los Angeles and the NIGHTSTALKER speeds through downtown, smoking crack and searching for prostitutes, he finds both. After realizing he can’t get what he wants from women, he sets off to feed his unholy hunger by heading into the suburbs of East Los Angeles where he murders and rapes a young woman as she sleeps in her house. Five days later, a young and beautiful beat cop, GABRIELLA MARTINEZ and her older, corrupt partner, FRANK LUIS, answer a call to a home and find the bodies of the young woman and her husband, mutilated and marked by Satanic ritual. Over the next few weeks, the Nightstalker continues his reign of terror and after more gruesome murders, Gabriella Martinez is offered a job on the task force investigating the murders that have kept the city of East Los Angeles in a state of total fear. Although skeptical of the reasons for her promotion, she nevertheless decides to try and make a difference and catch this killer who represents everything that she stands against. LIEUTENANT MAYBERRY and DETECTIVE ELLIOTT, her superiors on the task force, offer her a lukewarm welcome. Distracted by her own life choices, the inappropriate advances of co-workers, and the homelife she has been forced to play the role of patriarch in, she makes an error of judgment by leaking classified information to a young, aggressive reporter, ADRIANNE DELOIA. Suspended from the force, Martinez is visited by her old partner, Luis, who tells her that through some “dirty” policework he found out where the suspect was hiding. Still interested in doing the right thing, Martinez convinces Luis to take her downtown where she learns that the Nightstalker has picked her and the reporter as his next victims. Martinez and the Nightstalker become engaged in a game of cat-and-mouse that ends up with Martinez being force to decide between killing this murderer or letting him be arrested… Deciding to take a new path in her life, she lets him go. The same world which created this monster will now take his life, but she will not poison herself by killing another human being and becoming like him.

womens opinion please.?
so here is my dilemma. I was with this girl for about 12 years, we have a 5 year old daughter together (never married her) and she has a 13 year old son from a previous marriage. I lost my job in September and moved in with her for the third time (guess it wasnt the smartest thing to do under those circumstances). I became stir crazy at home because there were no jobs available. I did keep the house clean, made sure stuff was taken care of around the house and picked our daughter up from daycare everyday (essentially I was home with her all the time). Sometime in the fall, I became hard to live with and became very insecure with myself (which I believed led her to be turned off), I felt that since I was unemployed I lost all confidence in myself. In her line of work (law enforcement) she has male friends and I became suspicious of them (accused of her having an affair). The relationship became tumultuous. I enlisted in the military and head to basic in a couple of months. We broke things off in January and I have not spoken or texted her in that time ( I did send one the other day asking how her day was). I have not received any text responses from her. She told me prior to breaking up, that she had been playing along with the relationship (pretending to love me until i shipped out, so that she would not have to evict me from the house). She says that she loves me but is not in love with me anymore. I guess the question that I am asking is, what is she feeling and thinking inside, can we salvage the relationship before I ship out (god knows that I have other bigger and pending things to concern myself with in the military) and if we cant salvage the relationship now, what about sometime down the road. I am still madly love in with this woman, and I truly realize the mistakes that I made with her. My concern is for both her and the kids.
Well I think for now just let it be. You cant force the love, give her time. When you do get back just prove to her your love and see if things can be saved. For now dont text her hows she doing, hows her day, etc. just text her about your kids. that should be your only concern right now. You need time to think too, so wait until your back.

Yikes……….once a woman makes a decision like that, it pretty hard to salvage, especially if you’ve showed a side of yourself that scared her. She obviously was with you for a reason, but now it’s time for you to take time for yourself, heal and move onto the next step, and find a woman is passionate for you. Life is too short. My intuition tells me that you will find someone special soon, you just have to let go of this one. Join a gym. You may not be done with the past, but it is done with you. Sorry bud, goodluck.

Not buying your story. You say you were in " madly in love" with the mother of your child for 12 years but yet you lacked the commitment to marry her. I think the military will help you grow up. She finally got a real good look at you during this period of unemployment. They say people show their character when times are tough. You have pretty much shown yours all along. She is now free to make her way unburdened, I suggest you do the same. You were uncommited and now she is. you complain about her pretending to love you but isn’t that really what you were doing all along. Your choice, your consequence. Don’t whine about it now.

Hi there. Let me start by saying that I am very sorry to hear that the last couple years have been so rough for you. I am 33, and have had my fair share of ups and downs. I do know that separating from someone you love is very difficult, especially when there are children involved. I left a 12 yr relationship myself, but that was almost 3 yrs ago. My reasons were different, my ex was cheating. So I also know how it feels to lose your self-esteem and self-confidence. I’m still not back to where I was 3 yrs ago. It was definitely a blow to my pride.
You have admitted that you are insecure. I honestly feel that you have to deal with that before you can have a healthy relationship with anyone. If you are not happy with yourself, you will never be happy. You are probably correct by saying that it was your lack of confidence that turned your wife off. If you work on getting that security with yourself back, then maybe she will feel differently about things. I feel that if you have children with someone, you should always try to make it work, because it is really the best thing for the kids to have both parents together. Unless of course there is violence. Would she be open to some relationship counseling?? I feel you need to work on yourself. Find a way to be happy with yourself. And please please please put your daughter first at all times. I hope this helps. good luck!

What movie just ended on AMC right now?
American movie classics-
it was like a planet of the apes but not the first one.
Here are the sequels in order of release:
Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970)
http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0065462/
Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971)
http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0067065/
Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1972)
http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0068408/
Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973)
http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0069768/
I’m not sure which would have been on, so I thought I’d list the other films for you. If you haven’t watched the complete series, I would suggest them as worthwhile viewing. It’s quite remarkable that, in spite of budget cuts with each one, they managed to create a very good film series with a strong storyline that flows surprisingly well.
