In Lord of the Rings, does the Evenstar grant immortality?
Does Arwen’s necklace/pendant grant immortality? In the movie The Two Towers, she gives it to Aragorn and says "I choose a mortal life". So is she then mortal and Aragorn immortal? Or is it a symbol of her love for Aragorn? Thanks!

No, Aragorn doesn’t become immortal. But it’s a symbol of her giving up her immortality to be with him. And she does become mortal, though with a very long life. In the appendices of the book, it’s mentioned that after Aragorn’s death (at 210 years old) she went back to Lorien and stayed there till she died too.

I think that all the elves are immortal to start with, and the necklace thing is just her, proving to him, that she want’s to give up immortality. I’m not sure, but i think it’s more of a symbolism thing then anything else. Also, if it was the necklace than Aragorn would become immortal and she would die. That would kinda defeat the purpose.

No. It is not the evenstar, Arwen is the Evenstar of her people..not the necklace. No, it does not grant immortality. Aragorn comes from an incredibly long lived race to begin with. (There was no such "I choose life" nonsense in the book…Galadriel gave him the necklace…not Arwen). She becomes mortal and it was symbolic of Arwen’s choice. But that choice was made some 68 years before the war of the ring when she and Aragorn first met when aragorn was 20 years old.

No it was a gift. if it took her immortality, Aragon wouldnt have taken it. Aragon was surprised when Awen’s dad told him she choose a mortal life and this was after she gave it to him, so it cant be an immortailty pendant.

I used to like this girl and I think she liked me. She now has a bf but she still likes me. Suggestions?

There is a girl who is in one of my classes. Between October 2009 and early January 2010, I was almost certain that she liked me due to her body language. i.e. looking at me and looking away when we make eye contact. Smiling at me when I run into her at the shop, etc. Now, I DID like her, but I expressed doubt when it came to talking to her, so we pretty much never talked.

Last Saturday, she met up with a guy at a nightclub and kissed him. I was sickened, but decided to move on since jealousy would only cause bad relations between us. Besides, I never really talked to her so it gave me an opportunity to find better looking women. After returning to school after breaking my toe and being absent for a week, (still hurts T_T) I decided to just ignore her and avoid making eye contact since things would get awkward. On the day I returned I was leaving class and I seen her walking out the gate, she looked at me and looked away the instant moment we made eye contact. I thought nothing of it and went on to the next class. Today, I was walking down to the store with my friend and I seen her there conversing with her friends. I was about to walk into the store (there was no one else walking in, just me and my friend) when I heard her whisper "oh my god, it’s him." This annoyed the hell outta me, I got the feeling that she still fancies me despite the fact that she is in a relationship. I’m trying my best to ignore her so I won’t annoy her boyfriend, but so many things happen at the worst of times to make things awkward.

I need some advice, any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

I have the best task of psychology. There is a bully who bothered to good mate because he was a bit weird, the good child has gone one year, and later back but to a lower grade, seeing that he changed his character, the bully is having a very personal issue with the good boy, and just by pure evil, he wants to provoke ejecting to the good boy of the school, in a humiliating, anonymous, cowardly and using his friends. The evil has 20 people in his favor, is very clever, is sick or you may look bad, he takes away from good boy all your friends, no parents, no religion, he puts things in their backpack or locker (stolen or prohibited by the school, as I said to him purged), misrepresents his letter to anonymous scribes, rudeness, is willing to do anything to finish him, practically grew up in the street, with only to say that when his brother defended of the the bully, he used to his own sister to also attack the brother of the good and innocent partner, if the bully is accuse, can take a revenge, that in any moment can be stalked in his own house. He alone can "avoid the bullet", but will come a time that will not be able to "avoid the bullet". At a time when defending cleverly (and without accusing the evil) he is botheres more and more. How can quench a sick person, ready for anything, full of friends, who grew up in the street, who hasn’t parents or religion, which is a personal problem or no surrender to get him expelled, and a stalker against someone who is lonely?
