Is this love? Or am I just stupid?
A very long story short..
I first met this girl when I was a teenager. She was so beautiful to me. I cannot fully explain it but the moment I saw her, I was covered in warmth, and I knew I was looking at the person who I finally wanted to look at. We said "hi" to each other and from that moment on we were inseparable. We spoke hours and hours a day every single day just truly getting to know each other. It was intense, so damn intense. We were young, yes I know. But it was just right. I could have married her right there and then, and I wish I had. She was just everything perfect to me. Everything that I was, she was and wasn’t; we fit perfectly in each others hands. She lived in a city far from me, as I did not drive. So it was near impossible to see each other when needed and at the time, (I had not known this for many years) but I was struggling with a substance abuse problem which effected me in the sense I had no responsibility, and the lack of capability to more forward. I was about 17 and I got kicked out my house, had no job, no license, no nothing. It started to wear on us both as at the time we were very emotional people (her especially). Eventually we broke up and I was absolutely devastated. I cannot fully explain the emotion toll I took over this but it was too much for me. My life went down in the drain. I invested everything I had emotionally into this beautiful girl and now we were not together and I had no idea what to do. Through the years I still (unknowingly) battled with alcohol, and me and this girl still spoke occasionally. I am well aware that it is nearly impossible for me to explain how much I loved her without boring you off. Anyway, I joined the Army in hopes of shaping my life up and fixing myself all-around in hopes when I came through I would be a man. It seems everything else I have done was to try to fix myself into the man she needed. And when I say this, I don’t mean change me as a person as a personality, I mean, change my responsibilities, my life, my career, my everything. For many years I have always felt that someday, when I am a man, and she is a woman, we will meet when the time is right and get back together. What makes it worse, is I have tattoos in her "memory" on my body, beautiful lyrics specifically. I still feel the same way I felt when I was a teenager, I still want to be with her and make her happy and help her fulfill her life. But I feel like that is so silly of me because it has been so many years. I have had girlfriends thereafter, and I have met so many people, but this girl man, there is just something about I cannot explain. She was just IT to me. She was everything a perfect dream could dream of. Every girl I meet, even years later, just doesn’t cut it for me. I just see a reflection of the girl in my past and they just don’t measure up. She was, and is, the most beautiful girl in the entire world to me. We still talk occasionally but I don’t want to ask her these silly questions. I don’t think of her all the time like I used to, very rarely or when I am showering and looking at my tattoos. But deep down, I can feel it in me..I still want to have a life with her. I think..
Another point to make it..I would be willing to fall in love again, and I have tried. But it has never been the same. She found me at the right time and I poured my entire heart into hers, and I feel like a lot of that part of me is still missing. I just don’t feel like my heart is capable of loving in such a deep and passionate way.
I could truly go on forever, but I will not..
Any ideas? advice?
PS. The hardest part is there was never a yes or a no. It is always left that maybe someday we will spend our lives together. She felt the way that I felt about her. This is something that lingers with me every single day of my life..will it ever be? I can’t help but ask myself..
Now I am older, and I have finally fixed my life. I am leading the life I wish I were then..
Hey, thank you guys for responding so well.
I just want to reiterate: I am happy, and I am very content with my life as it is going. My life is finally leading down the correct path.
I know I should tell her how I feel, even though I am 100% certain she knows (if not just from my tattoos alone).
My biggest concern/fear is that I am not fully ready to be her lover. I have it in my mind that we would be right for each other when I am my perception of a man. And of course, I am so nervous. We do speak, occasionally, not as often as I would like. One of the last times we talked she called me drunk and told me a lot of things that I wish she didn’t (her feelings for me and how she misses me). But, also, I think I am extremely afraid. As pathetic as it might sound, one of the last times we hung out it took me almost an hour to leave my house while she waited out front for me.
Imagining me being with her for the first time always makes me feel nervous, thus making me doubt so much..
be a man, and tell her the way u feel………..it doesn’t matter if she refuses,at least in future u won’t regret that u didn’t ask her at the right time

You’re not stupid you’re in love and it’s time for you to make a decision for your life. It really is time to let go of me maybe or someday or somehow. You have to choose: either you want her back in your life (since you’ve been trying to become better for her which is great) or just forget about it. If you choose to forget about her, then you really have to stop comparing whoever you meet and just let go of the past. If you choose to ger her back into your life you better do it fast. Since she feels the same way and since you’ve made things better, I think you should give yourself another chance. I think there’s still hope. But if you don’t think it’ll happen, then just try to let go and go on. You’ll find someone to love if you let go of your past. It’s your life and you build it. So do things the way you think it’s best for you.
Pegah | Feb 08, 2010
Your not stupid, and I totally understand this because I have lived the same situation. You need to take the chance and not let it pass by if you ever expect to get on with your life. I was 15 when my situation passed by. It took 15 years later to find closure. Yes I dated men had relationships but could never stop thinking of him,and comparing him to everyone else. He married, so did I, but yet I actually told my husband what the deal was. I was in Mich, and he was in Tenn. So I went to Tenn and met with him and talked with him. When I saw him, well in my case he had changed dramatically and to say for the extreme worse. I hate to sound shallow but he looked like hell. Yet in my heart I still felt the warm fuzzy thing. I noticed you used the term beautiful many times while explaining your feelings. Well the guy I remember was off the page gorgeous. The man I met 15 years later was well not even near getting on a page. I am sure you want honesty so here goes. I was over him the minute saw him. I do believe I really loved him at one time. I know I did. Yet seeing how he let himself go and settled in life and was no longer the man who wanted to change the world, and live life to the fullest was such a complete turn off to me. He lived on the land Mommy bought him. He became everything he said he would never be. I love adventure, I love to travel, I love to live life to the fullest. I realized from seeing him, that everything I ever wanted was right in my face. (My husband) Now is my marriage perfect no, is my husband the love of my life, yes. Had I not taken the time to get closure I would be cheating on my husband still because I never would have realized just what I had at home. You may find the opposite, and she may be the one and that is why you are still hanging on. Or you may find like I did somethings are better left to memory. Oh and no one can ever take those from you. I think the fair thing for you and other women is to make this encounter happen. Don’t say it can’t, because we live in internet world now. People can be found etc. Make it happen, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by getting closure. (or getting with her) Meet with her and tell her what you told us. Get yourself free, one way or the other it is crucial for your future. If you end up like I did, then hey a women out there gets all of you and not just a part. Then your heart will be open to allow fairness to another women. Heck the women of your dreams could be right in your face right now and you can’t see because of blinders.
Hey wish you the very best.

Bridges of Madison County, The (1995)
IMDB rating: 7.00
Plot: The path of Francesca Johnson’s future seems destined when an unexpected fork in the road causes her to question everything she had come to expect from life. While her husband and children are away at the Iowa state fair in the Summer of 1965, Robert Kincaid happens upon the Johnson farm and asks Francesca for directions to Rosamunde Bridge. He explains that he is on assignment from National Geographic magazine to photograph the bridges of Madison County. She agrees to show him to the bridges and thus begins the bittersweet and all-too-brief romance of her life. Through the pain of separation from her secret love and the stark isolation she feels as the details of her life consume her, she writes down the story of this four-day love affair in a 3-volume diary. The diary is found by her children among her possessions and alongside Robert Kincaid’s possessions after Francesca is dead. The message they take from the diaries is one of hope that they will do what is necessary to find happiness in their lives — whatever is necessary. After learning that Robert Kincaid’s cremated remains were scattered off Rosamunde Bridge and that their mother requested a similar disposition for her own ashes, the children must decide whether to honor their mother’s final wishes or bury her alongside their father as the family had planned. Adapted from the novel by Robert Waller, this is the story of love that happens just once in a lifetime — if you’re lucky.

If 20 is a YOUNG age, why do I feel so OLD?
I live in a high rise in the middle of LA, have 3 luxury cars, and have dated girls in penthouse magazine and VH1’s Rock of Love
Do you think it’s because my life experiences are usually those of like 40 yr old established men?
I mean…I promised myself when I was young I would live like the famous and when I got old enough at 18 I did.
AND* I did
Nah man. It’s probably all the pills, booze, and coke that’s making you feel old.

 Christmas Toy, The (1986)
IMDB rating: 8.10
Plot: When no people are around, the toys still play in the playroom. But since a toy will be frozen forever if a person catches it out of position, they have to be very careful. It’s Christmas Eve, and Rugby the Tiger remembers how he was the Christmas Toy last year, and thinks he’s going to be unwrapped again. And it’s up to Applethe Doll, whom Rugby supplanted as favorite toy, to tell him what’s in store. But Rugby won’t believe her, and tries to get into the Christmas package and lets Meteora, Queen of the Asteroids loose. Unfortunately, she doesn’t know she’s a toy, and thinks she’s landed among aliens. And it’s up to Apple, Mew (the Cat’s toy mouse), and the other toys to get Rugby out of the box and Meteora back in it before they’re found and frozen.

Would you approve of this "toy" for your son?
I’m 15 now, but when I was in second grade, my favorite toy was an electric circuit breaker panel. I found it lying around in the garage, and it had breakers in it. I brought it inside, and was wiring some lamp sockets, switches, and outlets to it. I plugged it in, and made it work. I always said I wanted to be an electrician when I grow up (I still do). My dad said that I wasn’t allowed to play with it unless he was home. I was curious about home electricity from a very young age, and I got a home wiring Do-it-Yourself book for Christmas in the 2nd grade. I was able to read and understand it, as well as the wiring diagrams in it.
I don’t want to be an engineer. I don’t like the way corporate employees are treated. If I’m an electrician, I can eventually work for myself and keep all the money, instead of me doing all the work and my employer keeping 90% of the money.
Well, I wouldn’t be happy if my son was plugging it into live outlets, but if he wants to mess around with electronics in a safe way, then I’d be all for it. We’ve already done experiments with the kids involving wires, batteries, and lightbulbs, motors, and other interesting things. For some reason all my links got erased but I found this one webpage with tons of really neat science experiments on it. I’ll see if I can find it for you.
Yeah! Found it: http://scitoys.com/ Just be careful because some of the ‘toys’ can be dangerous.
All the projects are in the long brown block to the left with subheadings.

Sure. Have you considered being an electrical engineer?
I’ve made potato batteries and all that sort of stuff. It’s fascination about how stuff works and why that makes people search for solutions for problems.

Yes, I’d allow it for my daughter as well.
Deans | Jan 31, 2010
I would, I have electronics kits for my sons – they’re only 4 and 5, so went with Snap Circuits, but I take the batteries away after each use. So I can understand him wanting to be home.
The other thing you might be interested in, is look into the math classes at your school, and when you might get to something called Math Analysis or logic, where in something called Truth Tables you’ll learn how combinations of serial and parallel circuits work. And consider robotics competetions.

How can Mark Whitacre become COO of a company after going to jail for 9 years?
I just saw the movie ‘the informant’ and was wondering….how can anyone trust him to give him a management level job after going to jail for 9 years?
Look up Pa and Ma Ferguson. We’ve chosen people to do much more important things than manage a company after jail time.

It looks like the movie was one version of his life, but it looks to me that the FBI and many other people who knew Whitaker best do not agree with the movie version. When I googled him, I see he is getting lots of support from powerful people, including FBI, calling him an american hero. Headlight not bright enough?
This is where I am at now on troubleshooting these bulbs. The ground connection which is about a couple of inches from the battery has been brushed off. A ground wire near the front bumper has be brushed off. Auto Zone test the battery. So now I have a new Duralast 1000 crank amp battery now. I used a DMM and test the voltage on the Alternator and its about 14v when running. I checked the socket connection that the bulbs go into. Those are getting about 11.30v when car running give or take a tad. I just haven’t checked the headlight switch yet. When turning the highs on, the bulbs will flick as if the highs were turning on. But there is NO visible evidence. Are Pontiac’s not supposed to have a great high beam? New battery, headlight assembly, silver star ultra bulbs, cleaned two ground connections. The whiteness is present, but that brightness is crap. Are the connections that the bulbs go into suppose to the same as the alternator?
Took the car to a local garage just to find the damn problem is $90 that does not include parts and labor. I was told I needed HID headlights or something else, a higher cranking alternator too
11.3 volts to the lamp socket is too low , should be within .5 of battery voltage (nominal 12.4 w engine off) high resistance is in the wiring some where. also ,to properly check the voltage at the socket you must do it w the bulb plugged in and the lights on , otherwise your only checking the hot side of the circuit. if the ground side has high resistance your voltage will be less than .5 of battery voltage . take yoyr groung wires loose where they screw into the sheet metal and clean both sides of the terminal .if your getting 14 v at the battery, you dont need an alternator.

Hi , You are doing the right thing by cleaning all the ground connections you can find.Did you look inside the lamp contacts? You must check wires too, for bad spots that look good but are corroded inside. D.C. circuits are notorious for finding the easiest route to ground,so look for this too.Your power may not be reaching your light. Good Luck

I would replace the altenator if the problem is really bad. Check your connection and battery terminals for any corrosion or dried grease. Make sure your fuses are the correct voltage for the headlights. If the shop told you about the headlights look into those. There might be lower voltage ones that work just as good. And easy to replace yourself.

Can I fix my sex life or am i screwed?
Ok, when i was sixteen i lost my virginity to one of my brothers eighteen year old friends that was in town for a night or two, he got me drunk for my birthday and took advantage of me and forced me to be quiet. About four months after that i got together with a twenty five year old guy that i worked with and we started a secret relationship that turned sexual, for the first couple of months he pput his hand over my mouth to keep me quiet and after a couple of months i just turned stark silent. that relationship ended after two years that were really just a lot of problems and really him just using me for that one thing that i could give him, in that two plus years he cheated on me with at least two other girls and one of them being his fiance. Anyway its two years in to an amazing relationship with all aspects of life fufilled he is an all around awesome guy. But, no matter how great the sex is ….i cant orgasm.. and he is frustrated with me because of it. i have explain to him that i havent ever orgasmed with anyone (which is the truth). i have no idea whats wrong with me that i cant just let go and get wild. Can anyone give me a serious response?
it’s not weird. alot of women have the same problem
there’s alot of things you can do. research it a bit. go to the bookstore and pick up some books on the subject.
he should be patient and understanding. it will just make it harder for you if he gets frustrated.

i know you can.. you just need the right guy that makes you feel safe
mykwilwin | Feb 05, 2010
I use to could not orgasm and I still don’t sometimes but you have to concentrate on it and find out what you like. Play with yourself and see what feels best to you and then when you do have sex with him and tell him to do that.

U just need to be with a guy that u feel safe with

Seems that this is a normal problem. My girlfriend can’t orgasm with just me. She needs to stimulate herself most of the time. sometimes it’s just that you know how you like it and what does the trick. Good luck

Try going into your fantasies, as these often heighten your experience much more than standard intercourse. Seriously, go wild. Public, Fake Rape, Threesome, try it all.

some women just cant have orgasms. i dont know that it is common, but its not unheard of either. i dont know that a solution exists if that is your problem. otherwise it might help to see a therapist or someone. also certain foods can increase your libido and make an orgasm easier.
yslapme6 | Feb 05, 2010
Orgasms have almost nothing to do with the physical act of sex. Its all about the emotional connection between 2 people. When women are younger, they have a lot more trouble relaxing and feeling comfortable with their own sexuality to truly make that connection. When you learn to relax and let go emotionally, it will happen. And it will be incredible.

Don’t stress about it. My first sexual experience was a date rape. I had a few boyfriends in the past that got frustrated like your man. So I learned to fake it real good. Then I met a guy that could tell I was faking, and was determined to get me past my problem. His patience and love, allowed me to relax (it took a long time) and it happened. And it was worth it.
So please have patience with yourself, and if your man doesn’t have patience with you then he needs to hit the road. When you find the right one, you will relax (the key) and not worry about it, and it will happen.

You probably have some form of Post Traumatic Stress syndrome from all of your other sexual experiences with the other guys. They almost veer on the side of rape. Anyways they forced you to be silent…and in that way they made you feel like you didn’t deserve to have a say in what was hppening to you. Orgasm is really a mental thing and that is why you can’t orgasm…you can’t relax and let go of your fears and so you can’t completely give into your pleasure becasue of what you’ve experienced. I would highly suggest you go to therapy and maybe even sex therapy, so you can get through this block that is holding you back from experiencing the pleasure in your life. I wish you the best.

I got my neighbor arrested yesterday Cause I played COD HELLA LOUD!?
So I was playing COD yesterday. The volume was at a moderate level. About 23 minutes into my call of duty session I hear my neighbor yelling at his wife. This is totally annoying and it freakin puts me out of the mood. I hate it. Guess what? I pump up the volume like Christian Slater. About 5 minutes after I turn up my systemah, I can hear my neighbor trying to yell OVER my COD combat noises.
Haha yea right dude, you aint yelling over THIS!! So I turn it up even louder, and this time HE gets louder and I can here things being tossed around and thrown! I also hear his wife screaming in terror instead of yelling. Haha it was so awesome.
About 14 minutes went by and the cops knocked on my door and told me to turn it down cause they needed to question my neighbors. Haha sure enough they escorted that fool out of the neighborhood in a cop car. It was hella funny, i ordered a pizza and played more COD.
So my question is, if I like COD 4 (which is what ive been playing), how much will I like COD:MW2?
I have never heard of COD but if it were me hearing the neighbors fighting I would not have turned up the stereo at all. Instead I would have been on the phone to the cops. In that 5 minutes before you turned up your stereo the first time the guy could have killed his wife. Then to have the police knocking on your door so that they could question the neighbor before hauling his ass away If I were the cop I would have asked you how long were they arguing for and why did you not call us before it got as worse as it did.
